1. Please note that all official information, personal details and photos of a child, given to sponsors are strictly confidential.

2. Sponsors
are expected to observe the following code of conduct
and serve as good role models / mentors to the sponsored
child. |

Code of
conduct covers :
-
Physical contact / touching - ensuring that one
maintains appropriate physical boundaries with the
child.

Child’s
Personal information - respecting the child’s need
for privacy and not probe for personal information

Interaction with child - being mindful of one’s tone
of voice and language used when interacting with the
child
-
Photography - obtaining prior permission from staff
before any photos or video clips of any child is
being taken
-
Physical presentation - being mindful of one’s
dressing and ensuring a neat and clean appearance
-
Contact
hours - keeping to the Home’s designated hours
-
Cultural sensitivity - being mindful and sensitive
to child’s ethnic, cultural and religious background

Discipline - referring all disciplinary issues to staff of the Home

3. Sponsors
are responsible to ensure the safety and well-being of
the child when the child is under their care. |

4.
Children
are not allowed to be brought out of the Home without
the COO’s written permission. |
| |
|
5. Group
outings with the sponsored child and other children are
permitted when accompanied by a staff from the Home.
Sponsor must follow the approved programmes as planned. |

|
6. Please
inform the staff if the child misbehaves or is
disobedient or rude to you. Sponsors are advised to
apply strategies recommended by the social workers in
child management. |

7.
Gifts on
occasions other than birthdays, Christmas and Chinese
New Year are not encouraged. The Home must be informed
before hand should such a gift be given during the
visit. |

8. Visits to
the Home are welcomed with prearranged meetings with the
child, and access is limited to the dining hall and
multi-purpose hall. |
| |
|
9. Should the
children ask for your contact number, please inform them
to ask permission from the staff instead. Do not let the
children use or play with your handphone, MP3 or any
other gadgets. |
| |
|
Please
approach our staff for a proper storage place for your
personal belongings or assign someone to take care of
them. |
